Company Background

Mr. Chimney Sweep was founded in 1982 by Keith Jacks. David Askue began working with Keith doing stainless steel relines, masonry repairs, stove installations, and chimney sweeping. In 1985, David bought the business and began running it on his own. He attended an Ahrens system training session at the Ahrens factory and became an authorized installer of Ahrens chimney liners. He also attended Ahrens Masonry school where he learned fireplace building and repair. David Askue is an Independent Safety Commission inspector.

Over the years, all eight of his children have worked alongside David, and his oldest son, Roman Maguire, worked with him for 8 years after graduating from high school. Employees have come and gone, but one thing you can always count on is that David Askue, aka Mr. Chimney Sweep, will be there when you call.
